Workers with 12 months of continuous service are entitled to at least 12 working days of annual leave, under Article 79 of the Manpower Act as amended by Law 6 of 2023. Employment contracts, company regulations or collective agreements may give more, and many employers give 12 to 15 days. The 2027 joint decree sets 8 collective leave days, and its fourth provision states that collective leave reduces annual leave. If your employer applies all of them, the minimum 12 days fall to 4. Of those, four well-placed days already give 22 consecutive days off across 2027. If your employer does not apply collective leave and you work on those days, your entitlement stays whole. The tool above works out both cases and shows the best plan for your remaining leave.

Legal basis
Annual leave is governed by Law 6 of 2023, which amended Article 79 of the Manpower Act. Collective leave is governed by the 2027 joint decree: its fourth provision says collective leave reduces annual leave, and its sixth leaves its application in private companies to each employer. Staff who work on a collective leave day because of their duties keep that day of leave.
How to use it
Spend your remaining leave on one-day bridges first: Monday 4 January, Friday 7 May, Friday 21 May, Monday 31 May and Monday 16 August 2027. Those five leave days give 26 days off. If any remain, the week after Eid gives the longest break of the year.
