The 2026 joint decree set 8 collective leave days: 16 February 2026, 18 March 2026, 20 March 2026, 23 March 2026, 24 March 2026, 15 May 2026, 28 May 2026, 24 December 2026. Three of them framed Eid al-Fitr 1447, turning the 2026 Eid break into seven days. One linked Ascension Day on Thursday 14 May to the weekend, one sat next to Eid al-Adha, and the last falls on Thursday 24 December, the day before Christmas. Collective leave is deducted from annual leave under the decree's fourth provision. A worker with the minimum 12 days whose employer applies every collective leave day keeps 4 days to plan over 2026. Near the end of the year, one question usually remains: how many days are left, and can they be used in the week between Christmas and New Year? The tool above answers it in a few seconds.

Using leftover leave before the year ends
The last week of 2026 starts on Monday 28 December and ends with New Year 2027 on Friday. Four days of leave, 28 to 31 December, give eleven days off from Thursday 24 December to Sunday 3 January 2027. With only two days, 30 and 31 December join New Year to the middle of the week, but the gain is smaller: five days off.
Annual leave under Article 79 of the Manpower Act as amended by Law 6 of 2023 is at least 12 working days after 12 months of continuous service. The law leaves the details to employment contracts, company regulations or collective agreements.
Looking ahead to 2027
2027 has the same number of collective leave days, eight, but in different places: three for Eid, two for Eid al-Adha and Vesak, one for Chinese New Year, one before Good Friday and one on Christmas Eve. The details are on collective leave 2027.
