Eid al-Adha, 10 Dhu al-Hijjah 1448, falls on Monday, 17 May 2027 under the 2027 decree. The government added collective leave on Tuesday 18 May, and since Vesak falls on Thursday 20 May with Vesak collective leave on Wednesday 19 May, the week is off from Saturday 15 to Thursday 20 May. The Arafah fast, 9 Dhu al-Hijjah, falls on Sunday 16 May, and the tashriq days, when sacrificial animals may still be slaughtered, run from 11 to 13 Dhu al-Hijjah, Tuesday 18 to Thursday 20 May. The month begins, 1 Dhu al-Hijjah 1448, on Saturday, 8 May 2027; this is counted back from the decree's Eid date and will be confirmed by the isbat session at the end of Dhu al-Qa'dah. Eid al-Adha 2027 comes ten days earlier than Eid al-Adha 2026 on 27 May. Indonesian pilgrims stand at Arafah the day before by the Saudi calendar, which may differ from Indonesia's by one day.
