December 2027 closes the year with three days off in a row. Collective leave falls on Friday, 24 December 2027, Christmas on Saturday, 25 December 2027 and Isra Mi'raj 1449 on Sunday 26 December. Both national holidays fall on the weekend, so for five-day workers only the collective leave adds a day off. The result is a three-day weekend. Isra Mi'raj 1449 is the second holiday of that name in 2027, after 5 January. December 2027 has 22 working days with collective leave, or 23 without. New Year 2028 falls on a Saturday, so the last week of the year gives no natural bridge. Four leave days from Monday 20 to Thursday 23 December give nine days off, from Saturday 18 to Sunday 26 December. The 2028 decree has not been published; 2028 holiday dates will be added once its text is available.

The end of 2027 and the start of 2028
Unlike 2026, the week between Christmas and New Year 2027 is not framed by holidays at both ends: New Year 2028 falls on a Saturday. Leave from 27 to 31 December gives ten days off, from 24 December to 2 January 2028, for five leave days. The week before Christmas gives a similar result for one leave day less.
